Asian Games on Stamps 

The first Asian Games were held at New Delhi on 8 to 11 March 1951, when ten nations took part. These multi-sport Games have since 1954 been held at four-yearly intervals.

A predecessor of the Asian Games were the Far Eastern Games, first held in 1913 in Manila, with China, the Philippines and two Japanese atheletes taking part. These Games were held every two yearsto1927 and then in 1930 and 1934
